Own-Your-Own-Horse for a Day
Ever wanted to own a horse? Own-Your-Own-Horse for a Day is a full day program designed to give the experience of horse ownership. Participants are under supervision of a staff member throughout the day and includes 2 riding lessons (AM & PM), feeding your horse, mucking stall, grooming, tacking & untacking and more!
Boarding, Leasing & Sales
Mead Farm offers horse boarding, leasing and sales. Boarding is more than feeding and providing a clean stall. We take great pride in the care and attention that we give all horses at our facility. In addition, we offer optional boarding related services. Our leasing program gives riders the feeling of horse ownership without the full commitment. On the other hand, if you are ready to commit to a purchase, we are available to assist in your search.
Summer Horsemanship Riding Program

Our summer day programs are a great way for kids to immerse themselves in riding, horsemanship, and have a lot of fun! Our Summer Horsemanship Riding Program is designed for children of every riding level, from those who have never ridden to those who are looking to strengthen their skills.
Birthday Parties
Looking for a unique birthday party that will keep them talking for years to come? Our birthday party package includes use of our party room, a horsemanship class, in which participants (ages 3 & up) learn how to groom a horse, or another age appropriate barn activity, all through hands-on contact taught by knowledgeable instructors, as well as a half-hour lesson to learn the fundamentals of riding! Lessons on Trails
If you want to escape the ordinary, there’s no better way than spending time horseback riding on the picturesque riding trails that run through Greenwich and Stamford. Trail riding is for experienced riders only. Riders must be able to walk, trot and handle a horse at the canter. New riders must demonstrate in an evaluation lesson that they are able to ride English saddle at the above described level. We do not offer lessons on trails to beginners or children younger than 12 years of age. www.thegrta.org
